Splitting my time between working remotely for JPL and graduate school has left me all but no time for photography. Not to mention being back in St Louis has wrecked my existing customer base...so I'll be very slow and sporadic in any future work. The good news is I've bought a phenomenal new condo with high ceilings and plenty of natural light and have finally setup my scanner. I look forward to arranging shoots here in the future once I get some furniture in. Also, a recent trip to Istanbul gave me some new photos but I was trying to enjoy the trip rather than doing serious photography.

I just moved from LA, CA back to St Louis, MO to start my PhD in physics. Just to make things even more fun, I'm continuing my position at JPL part-time and telecommuting. Hopefully, I'll resume professional photography - especially seeing how awful my nearby competition is (e.g. http://www.loganaugust.com/ and http://www.starimagesonline.com/ ), but once classwork and JPL work is schedule with a predictable cadence. I did leave my White Lightening strobes with Frank in LA and I still need a new battery for my Vagabond, so there's some more waiting. Fortunately, between Laura and JPL I'll find plenty of reasons to visit LA while I'm in St L

First a graphic card died. Not good. One of my friends had a GTX 580 lying on his desk unused so he sent it to me! Woohoo! I installed it and got everything back to normal only for my motherboard to fry a few days later. Fortunately I had a few months left on the warranty so I sent that in but it'll be awhile till I get it back and check everything back out again. So till then shots from photoshoots and Big Sur (including some amazing 6x4.5 and 6x9 slides) lie waiting...
